• Victoria Sibiya compared her experiences with South African and Ugandan men, concluding that Ugandan men fall short when it comes to communication and emotional presence.
  • Now engaged to her fiancé, Victoria attributes the strength of her current relationship to deep friendship and strong communication—values she holds dear in love and life.

South African news anchor Victoria Sibiya, currently based in Uganda, has characterized Ugandan men as being slow when it comes to dating. In a recent podcast, she shared her experiences dating Ugandan men compared to those from South Africa.

After conducting her own assessments of both groups, she concluded that Ugandan men are off-limits for her. This is primarily due to their lack of communication skills. For example, a Ugandan man might do something for you without informing you that it was intended for you.

She mentioned that for a woman accustomed to being pursued, Ugandan men fall short compared to their South African counterparts.

According to Victoria, South African men are adept at their approach and make their intentions clear right away. Conversely, Ugandan men struggle with communication and may be physically present without emotionally connecting with you.

“I often mention this and receive significant criticism for it, but dating Ugandan men is a chapter of my life that has long since closed. For someone who is used to being pursued, Ugandan men just don’t fit the bill. For instance, they might build you a house or buy you a car without ever indicating that it’s for you. They are either already committed or slow when it comes to expressing their feelings. A Ugandan man can be in your life without truly being present,” she stated.

Recently, Victoria Sibiya became engaged to her fiancé. A firm believer and preacher of the Gospel through her media platform, Victoria expressed that friendship has been the most beautiful aspect of her relationship, highlighting her strong emphasis on communication in a partnership.
