Local rapper Mun G has stepped forward to classify some of the leading Lugaflow artists in the nation. This genre has seen several prominent musicians emerge over the years, but the delivery styles of some have sparked debate.

Mun G, one of the artists whose style has faced scrutiny regarding its authenticity in Lugaflow, has shared his thoughts on various rappers while on Galaxy TV with Mr Henrie.
Beginning with Gravity, Mun G noted that the Kwepicha rapper mixes his approach with band music in an attempt to attract the audience of local band performers like David Lutalo and others. He remarked that while Gravity’s instrumentation aligns with Hip-hop, his lyrics blend elements of both rap and band music.
Regarding Fefe Bussi, the rapper known for “Gwe Amanyi,” Mun G described him as more of a free-styler, which is why he excels at entertaining spontaneously.

When discussing Fik Fameica, Mun G characterized his style as centered around being a cool personality. He compared the Kutama artist to American rapper ASAP Rocky, noting that they both emphasize maintaining a cool, calm demeanor, which is why Fik Fameica’s fashion and style serve as significant assets.
Essentially, Gravity is a rapper who incorporates dancehall and band influences. He aims to reach audiences similar to artists like David Lutalo, but his work remains rooted in hip-hop. Feffe Bussi, however, has a more spontaneous style, allowing him to rap about any topic while making it engaging. On the other hand, Fik Fameica embodies the cool-guy persona. His delivery exudes calmness, and his fashion choices play a considerable role in his appeal, similar to ASAP Rocky.
Globally, hip-hop has evolved over the years, often adjusting to cater to changing audiences. In the U.S., artists who blend singing with rapping, like Drake, have found greater success than those who adhere strictly to the traditional hip-hop approach.
In Uganda, artists like Fik Fameica have also embraced a similar trend, achieving notable success compared to rappers like Jim Nola MC who have remained committed to a more classic style.
