- Jackie Chandiru says Gloria Bugie has rare, distinctive vocal qualities despite not being the strongest technical singer
- She believes Gloria could become top-notch — even international — with the right producer.
- Other industry figures like Dokta Brain have echoed similar praise for the rising star.
Veteran singer Jackie Chandiru has come out to applaud one of the newest artists on the block, Gloria Bugie. During a local podcast, Chandiru praised some of her favorite female musicians such as Sophia Nantongo and Maureen Nantume, noting that she would be star-struck if she met them.

At this point, Frank Ntambi and Shalom Kaweesa asked her opinion on Gloria Bugie and whether she had listened to her music. Without hesitation, Jackie said she had — adding that she likes her music and considers her a very good singer.
As she explained her thoughts, Ntambi attempted to laugh it off and downplay Jackie’s praise for the Panama singer. However, the Gold Digger hitmaker maintained her stance, saying that the Hitboss Management singer has very distinctive qualities in her voice that many artists can only dream of possessing.
She added that although Gloria might not be the best singer technically, she has certain notes she can hit that even stronger vocalists struggle with. The former Blu*3 member emphasized that with the right producer, Gloria Bugie could reach top-tier levels.

“I’ve listened to Gloria Bugie and what I can say is that I love her music. She’s very good and has certain distinctive qualities in her voice that other musicians do not have. I know I’m a better singer than her, but her voice is very unique. If she found the right producer, trust me, she can become a banger. She has certain controversial things she does which I like, but her voice is very unique,” said Jackie.
It should be noted that Jackie is not the first artist to applaud Gloria Bugie. A few days ago, singer and songwriter Dokta Brain said that with the right producer, she has the potential to go international. Jackie also likened her to legendary vocalist Saida Karooli.
