Former Miss Uganda Quiin Abenakyo has revealed how the Miss Uganda platform transformed her life. This was through giving her confidence, direction, and a sense of purpose.

During a podcast, she noted that before the crown, she struggled with public speaking and self assurance. However, the boot camp and exposure during the competition helped her overcome those fears.
“The Miss Uganda stage gave me more than a crown, it gave me a platform. A chance to lead with grace, to serve with heart, and to show that true beauty isn’t just seen, it’s felt. I couldn’t speak with confidence publicly and even when I did I had no purpose. But the pageant and then boot camp helped me to find and realize all these,” she said.
Additionally, she also had a special message to the newly crowned Miss Uganda 2025/26, Muhoza Trivia Elle. Abenakyo urged her to use the opportunity not just for glamour, but as a chance to engage with young people and become a voice for their struggles. She emphasized that the crown should be worn with purpose and responsibility.
