Songstress Sheebah Karungi has once again set the record straight for critics who often attack her over her bold fashion choices.

Appearing on a recent podcast, the Somebody hitmaker said she’s all about growth, confidence, and self-expression, not pleasing anyone.

“The thing is, I want to grow and let myself grow,” Sheebah said. “If I don’t want to dress up the way I used to dress 10 years ago, that’s okay. But if I still want to, I’ll rock those shirts because I work out every day.”

The singer, who has faced immense criticism over her revealing outfits, said her fashion is a reflection of her hard work and the confidence she’s earned over the years.

“I can’t work out and then you tell me how to dress up,” she added. “Even if it were you who invested as much money and time in your body since you were 23, you’d show some skin too. You’d want to show it—it’s because you’re covering a lot. So work it out, work it off, and you’ll see.”

The mother of one has long been known for her fearless attitude and unapologetic fashion style. Judging from her remarks, Sheebah isn’t changing for anyone — if anything, she’s doubling down on her right to dress the way she feels best.
