- Spice Diana says politics has not disrupted music performances this time as it did in past elections.
- She reports strong bookings in November and a fully booked December.
- The singer is happy with her 2025 music run and is in no rush to release new projects.
Songstress Spice Diana has shared her views on the country’s political landscape and its effect on the music industry. Since Bobi Wine joined active politics, music and politics have increasingly become intertwined.

During the previous elections, the atmosphere was tense, with several musicians reportedly pelted with bottles, bookings drying up, and concerts being limited. However, according to the Baligeya singer, the situation has been very different this time round.
Spice Diana said she expected political activities to negatively affect performances, but that has not happened. She cited her own experience, revealing that she had many bookings in November and that her December calendar is fully packed.
“I actually thought that there would be limited music activity like last time, but it has not been the case. I had several bookings in November, my December is full. Maybe January is the one that won’t have so much, but the impact has not been so much or even negative,” she said.

Several musicians, including those openly aligning with the National Unity Platform (NUP) such as Bobi Wine’s brothers Mikie Wine and Dax Vibes, have also held successful concerts. A few incidents were reported, including shows by King Saha and Daxx Kartel being pushed back.
Meanwhile, Spice Diana said she is satisfied with how 2025 has gone for her musically. She revealed that she is not under pressure to release new music, adding that she even postponed a video shoot because she is in no rush.
The singer released several songs this year, including Kagobako, Award, and Nakkiriza featuring Vyroota, all of which have performed considerably well.
