Ugandan South Africa–based socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan has shared a strong message to women — reminding them that wealth alone doesn’t make a man valuable.

According to Zari, many women pray for rich men, but forget one key quality — generosity.

“Most times women say, ‘I want a rich man,’” Zari said. “No sweetheart, your prayer won’t come true that way. Pray for a rich man who is also generous — because there are so many wealthy men who are not generous.”

Zari explained that some men may have money but are too stingy to help even when their partners are struggling.

“Even if you have a problem and call him, he says, ‘Don’t worry, we shall see.’ I hate that so much,” she added. “I hate telling you my problems and you ask me what I’m going to do. Some even promise to help in two days and then stop picking your calls.”

She urged women to value men who have a giving heart, no matter how much or how little they have.

“A generous man is one who, even if you have a problem of 100k and he has only 50k, will give you at least 20k and tell you to start from there. That one who can’t sacrifice for you when he has little will not help you even when he gets more.”

Zari concluded by advising men to be honest and avoid giving false promises.

“Men, even if this message is for women, also take lessons. If you can’t help, tell your woman straight away. Don’t promise and fail to deliver — that’s how you create enemies. Stop giving us false hope.”
